Medical Fair Brasil announces date for 2021 edition
The machinery, equipment and services trade fair takes place from May 4th to 7th, at Expo Center Norte, in São Paulo, Brazil, and will also provide participants with an intense program of content
The first half of 2020 was extremely troubled, and the uncertainties of the normal course of activities persist. Medical Fair Brasil (MFB) was excited with the expectation of its first edition, which would be held in May, but had to be postponed to September. However, with a month away from this new date and thinking about the health, safety and well-being of all participants, Emme Brasil, representative of Messe Düsseldorf, confirms that the MEDICA Fair in Brazil will take place only in 2021.
“Still in March, we had to adjust ourselves to this new moment, of which little or almost nothing was known. We consider the Ministry of Health's perspective that the pandemic would remain active for another three or four months, that with the arrival of the second semester and the reduction of the contamination curve, the market would need opportunities to resume its performance. We have reformulated ourselves to serve as a platform for promoting business that respects the limitations of this moment, but we cannot be reckless with what we have experienced, and the best decision is to hold the show next year. We already have the new dates: from May 4th to 7th, at Expo Center Norte, in São Paulo”, announces the CEO of Emme Brasil and director of MFB, Malu Sevieri.
The organization has been working so that in 2021 the participants will have at their disposal a complete event, with all the possibilities that trade fairs can offer. In view of all the recent changes in scenarios and perspectives, which will result in a new year marked by the reinvention of the industry, there is a conviction that MFB will be a true platform for boosting and generating business for the segment.
According to the plan for a gradual reopening of the economy adopted by the government of the State of São Paulo due to the COVID-19 pandemic, major events can only be held after October. However, this is still no guarantee that events will be allowed to happen. Even so, the stablished due date would be after the scheduled days for the realization of the MFB in 2020, which was September 16th and 17th.
Like all trade fairs at Messe Düsseldorf, MFB is a mixed event of machinery, equipment and services; more than that, they are experiences to be lived in person. For this reason, the management does not think it possible to idealize a digital event.
“We have developed a hygiene and safety protocol to meet all requirements and recommendations to make the trade fair's environment as safe as possible, even in during the pandemic. It was carefully created to demonstrate how safe the event would be, considering the hazardous scenario we are living in. However, after frequently analyzing the pandemic evolution, we understood that we could not expose ourselves, nor our partners or visitors to any risk of infection. In 2021, with safety and peace of mind, we will do our best to create a true business platform, the real goal of a trade fair ”, explains Malu.

More than a business fair that prioritizes the exhibition of products and services, MFB goes further, offering a vast program with forums and congresses.
Content such as the new Data Protection Law, which would come into force in 2020 and has been postponed again, deserves full attention so that everyone is in compliance with it. In the context of the updates that health institutions should make, Malu understands that it is essential to present practical and successful cases obtained during the pandemic, as a way to stimulate improvements.
“By proposing a schedule that includes intense content activities, we will also provide participants a better opportunity for networking. One cannot see a trade fair only from a sales perspective. There are other opportunities that cannot be missed, such as spontaneous media generation, growth of company leads and new partnerships. Trade fairs represent the most effective tool for deepening and consolidating business relationships, as well as gaining the necessary confidence to do more business, ”reiterates Malu.
The director also takes advantage of the announcement that the MFB will take place in 2021 to inform participants that, in the coming months, industry news and exclusive content aimed at the health market will be produced in partnership with supporters and exhibitors, and made available for free at the Medical Fair Brasil YouTube To get access, just sign up and activate notifications.
“For exhibitors who have not yet confirmed their participation, this is the time to guarantee the space of your stand to participate in the Brazilian edition of the largest trade fair in the world for the health industry. Our commercial team is available to offer you proposals that fit your company's budget. In addition, organizations that sign a contract in the coming days will have access to the MFB app, an exclusive tool that anticipates contact with the market ”, says Malu.
The app will be free for all exhibitors, partners and visitors, consisting of a matchmaking platform, which will facilitate meeting the needs of buyers with their respective suppliers. With the MFB APP, the connection with the health sector chain will take place in a few clicks, and users will still promote their products; they will increase their qualified leads and expand their network to the entire national and international territory.
“And, for our visitors, save the dates of May 4th to 7th 2021. Those subscribed to our website will continue to receive our communications. Those who have not signed up yet, can access our email address and follow the step by step. Registration is free ”, concludes Malu.
